11 Has a nation ever changed its gods? (Yet they are not gods at all.) But my people have exchanged their3 Glory for worthless idols. |
2 "Look up to the barren heights and see. Is there any place where you have not been ravished? By the roadside you sat waiting for lovers, sat like a nomad1 in the desert. You have defiled the land with your prostitution and wickedness. |
12 a wind too strong for that comes from me.1 Now I pronounce my judgments against them." |
10 To whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? Their ears are closed1 so they cannot hear. The word of the LORD is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it. |
9 " 'Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury,1 burn incense to Baal and follow other gods you have not known, |
13 " 'I will take away their harvest, declares the LORD . There will be no grapes on the vine. There will be no figs on the tree, and their leaves will wither. What I have given them will be taken from them.1 ' " |

14 I will enslave you to your enemies in1 a land you do not know, for my anger will kindle a fire that will burn against you." |
2 Even their children remember their altars and Asherah poles1 beside the spreading trees and on the high hills. |
3 My mountain in the land and your2 wealth and all your treasures I will give away as plunder, together with your high places, because of sin throughout your country. |
14 Does the snow of Lebanon ever vanish from its rocky slopes? Do its cool waters from distant sources ever cease to flow?1 |
